1 to 8 Player Cooperative Scaling

Stormforge was engineered from the ground up to support both solitary survivalists and tight-knit clans of up to 8 players. World difficulty, monster health, and storm intensity dynamically calibrate to the number of active players on the server.

Optimal 4 & 8 Player Squad Compositions

Balanced 4-Player Strike Team

  • 1x Vanguard Warrior: Frontline anchor; absorbs boss swings and blocks debris.
  • 1x Storm Mage: Area spellcaster; shatters storm crystals and clears mob swarms.
  • 1x Gale Ranger: Precision DPS; snipes boss weak spots and provides glider scouting.
  • 1x Forager / Villager: Healer & builder; repairs wall joints and manages supply logistics.

Full 8-Player Expedition Fleet

  • 2x Warriors: Alternating defensive stance rotations during apex boss dives.
  • 2x Mages: Dual elemental maelstroms to stun and burn elite storm thralls.
  • 2x Rangers: Long-range focus fire on aerial raptors and tracking tornadoes.
  • 2x Villagers & Foragers: Manages shipyard construction and continuous bunker fortification.

Revives & Death Mechanics in Storms

When your health reaches zero, you enter a downed state with a 60-second bleed-out timer:

  • Channeling Revives: Teammates must stand adjacent and channel for 4 seconds to restore the player to 50% health.
  • Tornado Extraction: If an incapacitated ally is being dragged into a tornado vortex, Rangers can grapple or push into the thermal current with gliders to reach them before time expires.

Shared Base Building & Permissions

Multiplayer settlements feature shared ward stones. Any clan member can place, snap, or repair structural walls, while dedicated storage chests can be configured with private or public access codes.

Hosting Co-Op Sessions & Dedicated Servers

Stormforge features both peer-to-peer Steam lobby hosting for friends and standalone dedicated server software for permanent 24/7 clan worlds.
